Cedar Rapids has a particular relationship with water. Iowa's freeze-thaw winters split supply lines, aging plumbing in the older neighborhoods fails behind walls, and spring thaw pushes groundwater into basements across Marion and Hiawatha every year. We do this work because Cedar Rapids needs people who do it well.

Our Standards

Our crews work to the industry's reference standards for water and microbial remediation — the IICRC S500 (water damage) and S520 (mold) standards that insurance adjusters and third-party hygienists use as the benchmark for restoration work. Specifically, our protocols cover:

• Water damage restoration — extraction, category assessment, and drying tracked against the IICRC S500 reference standard
• Applied structural drying — air mover and dehumidifier staging per S500 equipment-load math, with daily moisture-log documentation
• Microbial remediation — containment, HEPA filtration, controlled removal, and post-remediation verification per the IICRC S520 reference standard
• OSHA bloodborne-pathogen safety practices for Category 3 / sewage work

Iowa doesn't license restoration contractors at the state level. We're an insured and bonded local restoration team that documents every job to the standards adjusters expect — moisture logs, photo records, equipment inventories, and written scopes signed before any work starts.

Direct Insurance Billing

We work with all major Iowa homeowners carriers including State Farm, Allstate, Farm Bureau, American Family, Liberty Mutual, Progressive, and USAA. Direct billing means we invoice your insurance company directly — you sign one work authorization, we handle the rest. Most homeowners pay their deductible and nothing else.

What We Won't Do

A few things we explicitly avoid:

• Contingency contractsthat promise “no out-of-pocket” before we've seen your policy. Some companies pressure homeowners into these on the first visit; we don't.
• Pressure to sign immediately.Take the time to read what you're signing, talk to your insurance, and ask questions.
• Inflated scopes on insurance claims. We bill what the work was, not what we think the policy might cover.
• Mold remediation outside IICRC S520 protocols.If we're doing mold work, we're doing it to the reference standard — containment, HEPA filtration, controlled removal, post-remediation verification.
• Subcontracting away the actual work. We don't hand off your project to whoever answers the phone. Our crews do our jobs.
